Black Chana is also known as kala Chana. Black Chana is a healthy source of plant-based protein. It has low glycemic index and hence controls blood sugar levels. it has high fiber content. Black Chana is rich in Folic acid and vitamin B12. This tangy and yummy salad is the best salad recipe to enjoy anytime of the day. Just mix the ingredients and enjoy!!
Ingredients:
| Boiled black Chana | 4-5 Cups |
| Chopped Cucumber | 1 Cup |
| Chopped raw mango | ½ Cup |
| Chopped onion | ½ Cup |
| chopped Tomato | 1 Cup |
| chopped Coriander | ½ Cup |
| Black salt | ½ tbsp |
| Lemon | 1 |
| Mint leaves | 5-7 |
| Finely chopped green chilies | 3 |
Recipe:
- Boil / pressure cook black Chana
- Strain and remove the water
- In a large salad bowl, add boiled black Chana
- Go on adding each element, cucumber, raw mango, Onion, Tomato, coriander
- Add black salt and squeeze lime juice
- Add mint leaves
- Add finely chopped green chilies
- Mix all the ingredients and serve the salad
- You may also add raw papaya or grated carrots or grated beetroot
- You may also use the canned black chana
- If you are using canned black chana, strain the water , rinse and add to salad bowl
